I haven't written anything about the 2006 FIFA World Cup, but that doesn't mean I haven't been watching the matches man, hoho. Last night I stayed up till 5am to catch England play Sweden in their last group match of the first round… and one moment in the 34th minute made it all worthwhile.

From 30 metres out, England's left-sided midfielder Joe Cole takes a clearance on his chest and smashes in a volley that hurtles straight towards the Swedish goal…
